I’m a retired, reasonably fit 68-yr old seeking one or two walking companions to accompany me on further sections of the Heysen Trail, commencing at Morialta Conservation Park and heading north. In the shorter term I am looking to hike the sections Morialta CP to Kapunda and Kapunda to Burra in about 6days and 5 days respectively using huts and caravan parks to advantage. Post-equinox Spring is my favoured time when there’s the benefit of longer days. I’ve walked the Heysen Trail from Cape Jervis to Morialta CP in a combination of day-walks and some back-packing over a period of many years and hope to complete as much of the rest of the Trail as I can in the next few years.
