Hi,
John and I are planning to walk this section over two days starting either Sat 30/6 or Sunday 1/7 from Horrocks Memorial. We intend to leave our vehicle at Woolshed Flat but need to find a way to get transport the 50 km by road to our start pont at the memorial. Any ideas or suggestions regarding the transport issue would be appreciated.
David M
Ps the Woolshed Flat camp site at the railway station is no longer available due to water supply issues so any thoughts on accom in the Woolshed Flat area would also be good. |

We had a quote of $210- from Pichi Richi Park but ended up taking a taxi from Augusta Taxis for $120-.
We resupplied our water from Catninga Tank on the second day and were lucky with the weather(no rain) as we were in our tents for three nights. It was cold on the last night with no cloud cover but the pay off was a bright sunny day. It was an excellent walk but we did have trouble plotting our position on the maps. We need to upskill our map reading or get a GPS! David M |
