Australian Wildlife Conservancy
www.australianwildlife.org
AWC is an independent, non-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation of Australia's threatened wildlife and ecosystems. Funded by tax-deductible donations, AWC is taking action to protect Australia's wildlife by acquiring land to establish sanctuaries for the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems and implementing practical, on-ground conservation programs such as the eradication of feral animals and the reintroduction of endangered species.

Australian Wildlife Conservancy has a sanctuary on the Heysen Trail, the Buckaringa Sanctuary, covering 2,000 ha of the southern Flinders Ranges. The sanctuary is centred around the ABC Range, and two gorges which dissect it, Buckaringa and Middle Gorges. Major programs include biodiversity surveys and monitoring, feral animal control and revegetation & rehabilitation. Further information can be found under the "AWC Sanctuaries" link on their website listed above.
